Horizon Motorhomes has created a brand new model based on their best seller – the Melaleuca. It has been four years since Horizon added a new model to their range and this decision is in response to recent RV market trends and consumer demand for compact, economical and affordable motorhomes. Introducing… the ‘Melaleuca Appeal’.
This exciting concept came after, Clayton Kearney, Director of Horizon Motorhomes listened to customer feedback and reconfigured a few things that RV campers may not necessarily need to get them on the road. “The ‘Appeal’ comes to you complete with the unmatched style, quality and value built in to every Horizon, at a lower, more accessible price point”.
The Horizon design team and craftsmen have created an inspirational Motorhome, built into the Fiat 2.3 Ducato LWB that is just under 6 metres long. It is a compact unit with all the features of a larger van. Its modest length not only makes manoeuvring and parking the van very easy but also means you can park legally in most car spaces.
The ‘Melaleuca Appeal’ will astonish you with its interior space and features. It is the perfect layout for 2 people wishing to enjoy an extended holiday. The rear full-length beds can be permanently made either as 2 singles, one king single (leaving some seating area) or a king double. The rear compartment may also be set up as a dining room for 4 people.
It features a redesigned galley with more than ample bench space and plenty of drawers together with a stainless steel 3 burner stove and sink unit. Opposite the galley is a toilet/shower that sits beside the fridge and wardrobe. There is even a hatch under the rear seating area to allow you to travel with oversize surfboards or fishing rods in the boot.
Sales Team leader John Armstrong said “In the last few years customers have been telling us that ‘less is more’ when they are looking for the right vehicle to get them started on the road. They want functionality and clever design rather than ‘over the top’ excessiveness. There are so many benefits to having a compact motorhome like fuel economy, better back road access, camping spontaneity and ‘sneaking-a-sleep’ in overnight parking”.
On-going Support & Design Flexibility
One of the best features of the ‘Appeal’ is the option to have ongoing customisation, enhancements and modifications along the way.
“The ‘Appeal’ will have the capability to be upgraded at anytime. If you decide in a few years that you really can’t live without your TV or filter water tap, or that you would like additional reading lights, it can all be easily done – the base set up includes all wiring and necessary outlets for all those little extra comforts” said Clayton Kearney.
The ‘Melaleuca Appeal’ will be making its debut at the Brisbane Caravan and Camping Super Show June 7-12.
