Established in 1995 and now based in Ballina, NSW, Horizon Motorhomes specialise in the design and manufacture of built-in motorhomes.  Horizon are one of the largest built-in motorhome manufacturers in Australia and their customer base spreads across the country. Horizon Motorhomes are sold exclusively by BCMC and BCMC offer Horizon customers a range of additional services like an annual RV Check Up, RV Security options, fitting accessories and making any modifications, detailing and insurance repairs.

“We’re very proud to be finalists in our industry awards for the 3rd year running. For the last 2 years we have won the Manufacturer of the Year title, which is a great achievement for our company and brand and testament to the loyalty and passion of our staff and clients” says Clayton Kearney, Managing Director of Horizon Motorhomes.

Built into the Fiat Ducato and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter base vehicles, the Horizon range currently consists of nine motorhomes across the two vehicle types, including several 4-wheel drive models. The current range – Melaleuca Appeal, Melaleuca, Casuarina, Banksia, Banksia+2, Wattle, Acacia, Waratah and Grevillea.

“One of our greatest achievements in 2016 was being awarded Manufacturer of the Year (2016) by the Caravan & Camping Industry Association NSW for the second consecutive year” said Clayton.

Another significant achievement for Horizon in 2016 was the celebration of our 21st anniversary. Since 1995 we have been designing and building quality, luxury motorhomes in Ballina NSW, and employing a local workforce.

In 2017 we launched a new model into our range – the Melaleuca Appeal, our first new model for 3 years. This model is in response to feedback from customers looking for a simpler model at a cheaper price point, to get them on the road quicker.

Another milestone for 2017 was moving our manufacturing into a new purpose-built, state of the art factory in Ballina. The BCMC RV Service Centre who specialise in the servicing of Horizon Motorhomes has also joined us. It helps for them to be located alongside the people that build the motorhomes.

We also won the 2017 Trade & Manufacturing category at the Lennox Head business awards, and the 2017 Manufacturing and Innovation award at the Ballina Business Awards. We were also finalists in 3 categories at the 2017 Regional Business Awards (Northern NSW). We now look forward to seeing what the 2017 Awards of Excellence will bring.
