“I purchased my ‘Banksia’ four years ago and I have been traveling in it ever since with my dog Amber-Rose. Before this, I did extensive touring in a 4WD + caravan and have owned four caravans prior to my motorhome purchase.

As I’ve grown older, my sons suggested that I get a motorhome to make things easier and safer…and after some time I thought I would consider it.

I flew over from Perth to meet the Horizon and BCMC teams and to test-drive the ‘Banksia’ before they took it off to the Caravan and Camping Show in Brisbane. I couldn’t fault it – it has everything I needed and is so comfy and well made.

The Horizon and BCMC after sales support is incredible – I have come to get to know the teams and they are like family to me. Whenever I am on the East Coast, I always come in to catch up.

I am surprised at how wonderful motorhome life is – it’s a whole new world and it’s given me another life in my retirement years. I have the freedom to d my own thing and life has been pretty busy. I often cross the Nullarbor and I have done quite a bit of travel in the ‘Banksia’ ( I think I have a bit of gypsy blood in me) and would love to do the ‘Big Lap’ around Australia.

There are a lot of other solo travellers on the road and I know other ladies who drive the Horizon and they just love them. I have made many friends on Facebook and we quite often meet up.”
